This week's episode is posted early due to a Time Warner Cable outage that happened shortly after recording. Our broadband is back up but stability is an interesting question.
In this week's episode we talk about the conundrum of unity-lens-shopping as discussed by Martin Owens, Jono Bacon, and the Self-Appointed Benevolent Dictator For Life, Mark Shuttleworth. In pertinent part, the issue raised in the podcast was a question as to whether to be proactive in announcing a feature or being reactive when somebody else says something about it. Is anybody responsible for communicating to the non-developer mass market about these sorts of features prior to their incorporation? The impending event known as Ohio Linux Fest is also referenced in the show audio.
